In Oklahoma, the massive cloud formations tend to develop

in the southwest and then move steadily to the northeast.

I took a photo of one of these storms at a family reunion,

and it became the basis of "Thunderhead Over the Plains".

This painting is a pastel drawing on 18" x 24" paper.  The

original is not for sale as it is part of a private collection.
